BIOGRAPHY
PAST TO PRESENT
Born and raised in South Africa, Ryan attended school in Cape Town at SACS and then attended boarding school at King Edward VII in Johannesburg. Ryan then studied at The University of Cape Town achieving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama, Film and Media. He then went to AFDA Film Academy in Cape Town graduating with an Honors degree in Production Design for Film and received AFDA honor awards including: "Best Production Designer", "Best 30 Second Commercial", "Best Short Film" and won "The Principles List" Award.
After working on sets in Cape Town as a Production Designer, he set about the world travelling... taking him from a summer of Planting trees in Northern Canada to a whirlwind journey through India, Nepal and scenic treks through the Himalayas. It didn't end there, the travel bug was still fierce - a summer working on yachts in the South of France led to work in a private chalet in the French Alps for the winter. But nothing could overcome Ryan's acting bug ... His travels took him to a place where his heart and spirt were focused... New York City. The place he always wanted to be.
Now four years later, he is proud to call NYC home and grateful to be following his true calling... acting.
Soon after arriving in New York City, Ryan trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute completing the Two Year Conservatory Program. Ryan quickly built up his acting experience with multiple lead roles in short films, off-Broadway theatre performances, Sketch Comedy and Voice-over work.
